In Love with the Search

Actions speak louder than words.

I said this to you,

but you act like you never heard,

and continue to give me neither.

Sensations I once felt disperse into the ether.

I don’t know what you think I deserve

or why you chose to attack my worth,

but I’m forever grateful to my teacher.

With aspirations to keep learning from myself at my leisure.

And even though I still carry the hurt,

I know now what I deserve,

and carry no plans to give my love to the reaper.

My efforts to find me go deeper,

aiming to accentuate my best features,

I have become infatuatedly in love with the search,

and more now I am in love with these verbs

even as I let my actions speak.
