Star glow on a hazy dog days’ eve

With a soft, fond look in jade eyes

A god amid men made his way to me

As my self doubt and shy fear dies

In his eyes fire of a hope long dead

That this slob can be more than I am now

Lit my core with a burn, deep wine red

And I made my iron clad vow

For eyes that hail my joy and weep for my pain

I’d rise from the ash of my idle past

That his kind love will not be in vain

And the bond of twin soul ever last

Days like a bird on the wing flee

One year, then two come and gone

Yet I live to be the good his jade eyes see

For in those jade eyes I find my home
