Six months and I still reminisce over
those gorgeous empire cakes—
inhale and they all disappear
like memories blown
from a window sill, where
magenta blooms crumple
with the last Christmas snow,
and you caught my
futile attempt to cheat
to win our game of chess.
If only it were so simple
to strike a deal with the God of Aion
to follow you forever in time.
I wish we could still be friends,
or experience everything
brand new again.
