Imagining the 1960s if Hitler Won in World War II

Heavy boots march, a loud, repeating sound

As the Reich's evil flags are displayed around

Silencing freedom's voice, creating a dark link

To chain the dreams of the world on the brink

From Auschwitz's jaws, the chimneys spew

Smelling of humanity's burning residue

As cries of the doomed echo and burn

Hope's resilient, defiant return

Yet in Ural strongholds, that flame is stirred

By partisan spirits who'll never be deterred

Waiting for their chance to take a firm stand

And break evil's cruel commands

While in the New World, a different dream takes flight

A bright starry promise to conquer night's plight

As freedom's engines, their white trails behind,

Soar to free mankind from its bind

Two visions now battle, their destinies linked

Despotic horror, its harsh doctrine sinks

Or liberty's victory, its brilliance restored

Over tyranny's ashes, its truth underscored

Can that moonlit path outshine oppression's gloom?

When bravery reignites the unchained mind's bloom?

Let those beacons light the way for everyone

No totalitarian force can long overrun
