I'm a Girl and You're a Dude

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 20 days ago • 1 min read

[Verse]
We walk the same streets under the same moon
Your laugh is just like mine
Singing the same  tune
A Mirrors reflection but a twist in the frame
You’re not me
Yet we’re one and the same

[Rap]
Is it fate or just a trick of the divine
How can two worlds blend so right

[Chorus]
You could be me
I could be you
But I’m a girl and you’re a dude
Same hair same stare
Same wild eyes
We think alike
Dream alike
No disguise
But I’m a girl and you’re a dude

[Verse 2]
Your shadow moves like it’s stitched to mine
A tangled thread of gold on the edge of time
Do you wonder if the stars made a bet
Are we Two halves of a puzzle that just met

[Rap]
Is it magic or just déjà vu
How can you feel what I’ve been through

[Chorus]
You could be me
I could be you
But I’m a girl and you’re a dude
Same hair same stare
Same wild eyes
We think alike
Dream alike
No disguise
But I’m a girl and you’re a dude
But I’m a girl and you’re a dude
Oh, I'm a girl and you're a dude
