a comfy blanket underneath
cosy jumper on me
latte in my hand
a cookie that you gave me to think
how wonderful this life is
when you have friends around
instillin’
your value in this world
and supportin’ family strings
overcomin’ any conflict
when nothin’ can break this pattern
and you can feel that you finally matter
to yourself and to them
by the fireplace in winter
by the campfire in summer
in the autumn forest
vivid with colours
like a patchwork quilt
and among spring flowers
in your best outfit
showin’ only your qualities
and never your flaws
will this time ever come?
I was waitin’ for it once
gingerly refinin' every detail
and it cracked like porcelain on tiles
leavin’ traces not worth rememberin’
yet I still dream that this time will return
and knock on my door once more
when the impetus of life
sweep me off my feet
into the dancefloor drummin’ with din
not heartrendin’ for a change
yet revitalisin’ all my steps
which I tripped over for years
on the way to another life
in a shape still unknown to me
