If these walls could talk

They would tell you about my sleepless nights

The nights and days that I felt alone

Trapped in my own mind

Feeling used, abused, abandoned

They would tell you about the countless nights that I stayed up

Crying for you, praying for you to come home

All about the good days and the bad

How I would constantly try to start my day with a smile

And end it with a frown

About all the thoughts that I tried putting into words

But just couldn’t get them right

They would tell you how much I loved you

And how hard I fought to hold onto you

But sometimes it just wasn’t enough

They would tell you about my healing process

How I dealt with the pain and survived

How I had to accept the fact that you weren’t coming back

How I had finally realized that things would be okay without you

They would tell you that it would be okay too

How someday I will forget about you
