If Love Had a Voice

A Song for Forever

By Samara Pollyana Published 3 months ago Updated 3 months ago 1 min read

If love had a voice,

I think it would sound
Like your laughter crossing a crowded room,

Like a gentle promise carried by wind,

Like flowers opening into bloom.

If love had a color,

it would be dawn,

Painting the darkness with golden grace.

If love had a home,

it would surely be found
In the kindness that lives upon your face.

If love had a shape,

it would be your hands,

Reaching for mine when the road grows steep.

If love had a purpose,

it would be this:

To find a soul worth learning to keep.

And if forever is more than a word,

More than a dream that lovers pursue,

Then forever begins and ends the same,

With my heart choosing you,

Over and over again.
