If All The World Were Dead

Poem

Everyone should be happy and in love.

Everyone would not be able to get enough.

But fate has other ideas.

Taps into our fears.

If all the world were dead.

And all the trees were burnt.

The seas all bloody red.

What lessons have we learned?

Everyone has limited time.

Everyone thinks their life is sublime.

But death won't care to wait.

When it knows it holds our fate.

If all the world were gone.

And not a cell was left.

How do we carry on?

Knowing we were going to lose our breath.

Everyone wants there to be no pain.

Everyone is not right in the brain.

But listen to me and listen well.

This life is less of Heaven and more of Hell.

If all the world were done.

And we were never born.

Granted we'd not know fun.

But equally not know scorn.
