icarus didn't have a love story

and i wont let us burn either

Whatever would I do without you by my side?

It's a question I ask myself whenever I think to swallow my pride.

But to risk the bond we have, I couldn't bring myself!

To taint the love of a true friend with that which has been rising within?

No… No.

Yes, I love you so,

…How could I ever dare to let you know?

To reach for more of your presence would stretch me to the sun,

Icarus' story was not one of love, it's not one I'll let us follow!

Best I just bait my breath and admire your beauty from afar, relish the moments of bonding and all the joys we get to share.

I'll walk side by side with you, my back full of Cupid's arrows,

As I feel the pierced heads rip my flesh and scar my skin, I'll know it's for you

And in silence I'll grin and walk side by side with you forever
