Sitting here,

In this chair,

Thinking I've done nothing;

When I have really done something.

I loaded the washing machine at half past ten,

It was drying on the line by eleven o'clock,

I swept the kitchen floor,

Then started writing my book.

It's now ten o' clock at night,

And I feel today has been one fast flight,

As I sit here,

Typing away,

Thinking,

I've done nothing today!

I wonder where the day went,

As night arrived so fast,

Turning all my future dreams into nothing

but the past.

I wonder where the day went,

And why, it went so fast!
