I Wish

I wish you were easier to read.

And I wish I was less prone to share.

I wish the walls surrounding your thoughts and feelings weren't so hard to penetrate.

And I wish my walls were tall and strong again.

I wish I had met you sooner.

And at the same time maybe I wish I had never met you at all.

I wish there was more time

And I wish it would all end sooner

I wish the journey would never end

And I wish it had never began

I wish I could stop feeling

And I wish that you'd feel something too

I wish I could say no

And I wish that you could say yes

I wish all of these things knowing I'll never feel any of this again.

The journey has forever changed me and how I view the world.

Here in the moment everything is pure.

The light is bright but in the morning the dark shroud of suffering will wrap around me tight.

I wish the moments were longer

And I wish I had never experienced it

I wish the shroud of darkness wouldn't come

And I wish to feel it again

I wish to pick up where we left off

And I wish to walk away forever

I wish I could stop the cycle

And I wish I could start at the beginning again
