I said that I loved you

And you said, it’ll pass

And try as I might to

Find somebody else

I’m stuck wondering why

I am never enough

I can’t fill the void

That I thought you would fill

I simply avoid

Letting the ice cover my sill

I miss the heat of passion

But can’t muster the glance

Heartbreak taught me a lessen

That halts me from taking the chance

So I mimic living

Staying true to my plan

I’ve done my forgiving

I promise, I really have

The truth is, I don’t miss you

Just the way it first felt

After what you put me through

I can’t trust anyone else

And the saddest part of it all

You never really loved me

So I’m missing a memory from

a made up memory

So, how can I move on

Because I can’t trust my heart

So many times I’ve been wrong

Confused the horse and the cart

Guess I’ll learn to love me

And cradle my flaws

Until I finally believe

I’m really worth it all
