I wake only to find myself still trapped in this nightmare

Surrounded by echoes of the past

Times once buried just beneath the surface

Guilt is a terrible thing

It will claw you from the inside

The air is too thin to breathe

How do people go about their life when they are screaming?

The quiet is the hardest part

Feelings are such powerful things

Pain melts into oblivion and I am left numb

Night comes whether we are awake or dreaming

Death is relentless

It claws at us

If it manages to grasp us, it won’t let go

The river of death flows passed me

Sometimes life is just a tragedy to be endured

A forlorn attempt to escape

Let go or be dragged

To the darkest depths unimaginable
