I trusted you

I trusted you

Do you hear me?

God, I trusted you

I opened myself like a wound.

Showing you locked doors I would never open

I let you look inside,

I told you things I never told anyone-

Things I only screamed in the dark

But… you said you are safe here

I trusted you

Every word, every scar,

I told you my stories, showed you my chaos

But you took it and turned it into shame

You twisted my honesty into a weapon

You punished me for trusting you.

You punished me for speaking my truth

Now acting like I am dirt

I trusted you
