I play them on repeat

again

and again

I can't press delete

No matter

how

long it's been...

the sound

of your voice

fills

a void

that won't

mend

all the memories

we shared

of a love

that won't

end

*

I press

nine

to save...

I just cannot

let you go

I cannot

bear the thought

of never hearing

the tone

of the smile

in your voice

each time

I replay them

on my phone...

I cannot explain it...

*

like the one

that you left

when

we were hanging as

friends

falling asleep

to the sound

of your soft

gentle breaths

*

that April fools day

prank

when you scared

me to death

and the sound of

your laugh

you

were so

pleased with

yourself...

*

your playful

I love yous

to see

if I made it

home

I listen

to them often

when I'm feeling

alone...

the smell of your cologne

barely lingers

on the

sheets

and

I saved that

old matchbook

from Drinkers

where we

would meet

for a drink

just another reminder

as another

tear hits the floor

these messages

are priceless

cause I cannot

get anymore
