I still dream of you
even though so many years have gone by
"What beautiful eyes you have..."
That's how it started.
I had heard that so many times before, but this time it sounded different.
"What a beautiful voice you have", I said, in turn, and looked at the man standing before me.
I was immediately smitten by his dark curly hair, twinkling eyes, lovely smile, caramel-colored skin, broad shoulders and velvety voice. He was also smitten and asked for my number. Neither of us had pen and paper, so he glided to the nearest shop and came back with a coaster. Thus began our love story of 2,897 days which I shall never forget.
I still dream of you.
Even though almost 16 years have gone by since I last saw you.
