I REMEMBER

LOVE SURPASSES TIME

The room,

Alive with laughter.

And dancing.

Our eyes touch,

Embrace.

.

Time flashes past.

.

And I remember,

The isles,

The towers of cloud,

A thundering surf,

The excitement.

.

Under the

Setting sun,

Our bodies lock,

Grappling for pleasure.

Shuddering bodies,

Writhing blindly.

Powerful

Pleasure contractions.

We gasping for air.

.

So alive.

.

The war

Tears us apart.

.

Her eyes flash.

Look deep into my heart.

“I have been waiting for you,”

She says,

“A thousand years.”

A playful glint,

She leans close,

Whispers,

"I remember."

.

She smiles,

Takes my hand.

.

Caught again

In the currents

Of urgency

And need,

We run,

Chasing our passion,

Into the future.
