A Tale of Quiet Desire

They say there is a difference

between a Need and a Want.

I say I'm neither of them

and somehow it comes out as a taunt.

For I feel like a book on the shelf

with the boring color, lying out there just to be read.

And I don't remember the last time

when someone found me interesting, especially the things I said.

I believe I'm boring

cause books make a greater part of me.

I overshare sometimes

and then guilty is all I'll be.

But I love deeply

so, you can see it in my eyes

and I get clingy as a magnet

get upset over goodbyes.

I write you long text

because that's how I behave when I'm attached

and sing you some song out of nowhere

Get too comfortable to think before I act.

I'm a whole different story when I'm in love

I'll say I'm sorry without being at fault,

but somehow, I'm too much for someone to even look at

I'm neither needed nor wanted, and I'll stand by that.
