I’m still shining through,
Despite the chaos,
Despite the storm,
Despite the insults,
Despite the accusations,
Despite the looks of disappointment,
Despite the lies swirling around,
Despite the season of sadness,
Despite the rumors of wars,
Despite the jarring journey uphill,
Despite the fickleness of society,
Despite the arms that have grown weary,
Despite the discordant nightmares,
Despite the lack of recognition,
Despite opinions of the devils minions,
Despite lurking lack,
Despite lagging loneliness,
Despite lost hopes and found troubles,
Despite friends left behind,
Despite a panicked, frustrated world,
Despite selfish eyes who demise,
Despite a famine of men who are wise,
I’m still shining through.
