I Lost Him

I Still Hold On To The Hope

In twilight's hue, I lost my shine,

Half of me gone, my heart divine.

A piece of me was torn away,

The other half, now distant ray.

With him, my days were bright and gay,

Now, nights are long, and fade away.

The laughter we shared, now but a sigh,

The memories, a distant sky.

The love we had, a fleeting dream,

Now, just a memory, a nostalgic theme.

The emptiness I feel, a gaping hole,

A piece of me, now beyond control.

But still, I hold on to the hope,

That someday, I'll find a new scope.

A love that's true, and pure of heart,

To mend the pieces, and set me apart.

For love, though lost, can never die,

And in my soul, it will reside.

So I'll keep searching, day and night,

To find the one, who'll make everything right.
