I’ll Wait

A Poem

While you were sleeping,

I sat and thought about the blames I took upon myself,

I thought about trusting myself to trust you.

Never was I enough,

But I’ll wait because I’m happy with whatever comes.

I tell you that I don’t mind it -

But I mind it.

Already I’m sorry but I’m sorry to myself,

I’m only sorry for giving you my time to waste.

You walked into my life and I thought things would be alright,

You’ve given me a hard time and now I’m not alright -

I’ll wait for you to apologise.
