I Left You With Flowers

Mermaids ~ (Read the first story!)

Aching heart, She walks through the forest,

Bereft of her mother, her sorrow a constant refrain.

Cascading flowers adorn the path, as she wanders in despair,

Drenched in memories of a love lost, a bond beyond compare.

Echoes of laughter and songs once filled the enchanted air,

Fragile petals of flowers now wilt, as if mourning her mother's despair.

Gone is the mermaid's enchanting voice, her lullabies so sweet,

Hushed are the whispers of the forest, as the girl's heart skips a beat.

In the depths of the woods, where the sun's rays barely reach,

Journeying alone, she finds solace in the silence, a bittersweet speech.

Kaleidoscope of emotions, a tapestry of grief and love entwined,

Leaving behind her mermaid mother, a piece of her heart left behind.

Moss-covered rocks and gentle streams bear witness to her pain,

Nestled among nature's embrace, where her mermaid mother shall remain.

Overwhelmed by the weight of loss, she finds strength in the trees,

Piercing through the darkness, a glimmer of hope, a gentle breeze.

Quietly she whispers her goodbye, her words carried by the wind,

Raindrops fall, as if the heavens weep for the mermaid's end.

Silent tears mingle with the flowers, as she bids her farewell,

Torn between sorrow and gratitude, a story only her heart can tell.

Under the canopy of stars, she finds solace in the night,

Voices of the forest echo, guiding her towards the light.

Whispering secrets of resilience, of love that never dies,

Xanadu awaits, where her mermaid mother's spirit forever lies.

Yearning for her touch, her warmth, her presence so divine,

Zephyrs carry her love, as the girl leaves the forest, her heart intertwined~
