I Digress
Poem
What was I going to say
Forgive my indulgence
Something like tenderness crossed my way
With memory's cross to hearts
When the irony lies in the instance of same
I refrain
The instance of many
A nuance of uncommon intimacy
Like breath in me
Dare I say?
Tendrils of thought might get in my eye
The Seer's freeing
Pure moments guiding
What promise does delineate
Forsaken feeling
So I digress
To dreams of painted canopies
And naked trees like leaves before me
While daydream niceties
Mingle with journeys
A raw pantomime over time
Does refrain
Instances of same and of many
* This poem is about how uncommon feeling and logic are.
