I Did Not Obey

They wanted obedience.

By Zakir UllahPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

They wanted obedience.

I wanted truth — and that changed everything.

I did not obey,

I understood.

They gave me rules,

I searched for meaning.

They showed me the path,

I asked why it exists.

I spoke to God

without lowering my eyes,

and He smiled —

not offended,

but recognized.

Love refused to live in cages.

Truth refused to kneel.

So I walked alone,

not lost —

but free.

Faith that fears questions is not faith — it is habit.
