Hypothetically speaking baby

Do you think that you could love me?

Playing the scenario in my head lately

Wondering where a love like yours could lead

Supposing and guessing what it would be like

Soaring like an eagle or maybe like a kite

Struggling with mathematics not adding quite right

Balance and scale where the springs fit too tight

But it’s only hypothetical

Skirting what could be seen as magical

Pushing when I should have pulled

A love beyond original

Hypothetically speaking, here I am

Hypothetically curious, here I stand

Hypothetically given half a chance

You hypothetically hold my heart in your hands

But it’s only hypothetical…
