Futures Ummade

In a world that exists just beyond what is real, Hypothetical love is the dream we conceal. It dances on "what ifs," on futures unmade, A love that we ponder, though it starts to fade. It’s the glance we imagine, the words never said, The life we envision but leave in our head. In the echo of moments that never took flight, Hypothetical love lingers, soft as the night. What if we were closer? What if we were free? In this love that’s untested, what might we be? It spins in the shadows, it glows in the dark, A flicker of hope, a tentative spark. It carries no burden, no weight to endure, Just a whisper of longing, a promise unsure. With no fear of heartache, no risk of regret, It’s a love we imagine, but never quite met. In the "almosts" and "maybes" it quietly stays, A love that exists in the space of delays. No limits, no endings, no tears to release, Hypothetical love is a fleeting peace. But deep in the mind, it forever will stay, A love that was perfect, though never on display. In the realm of what’s possible, it thrives and survives, Hypothetical love, in our hearts, it arrives.
