Hush now child, go to sleep

There is nothing to fear, no need to weep

For the Lord is your shepherd, you are his sheep

In his gentle hands, your soul, he keeps

*

Be quiet child, rest your head

Lay down upon this feather bed

Only miracles and wonder lie ahead

For your soul and Him are forever wed

*

Be still my child, know you are loved

God is watching you from up above

Dream as you like, dream only of love

For that is exactly what his dreams are of

*

Hush now child, let a tear not seep

From your eyes, your spirit does leap

For if joy you sow, joy you will reap

Be meek, be still, and go to sleep
