In the quiet foggy morning

Watching my own breath

There is a fire burning

Down deep beneath my breasts

A longing and a hunger

A greater blood lust thirst

I bite down on my lip

So hard, I fear for it to burst

Who is that person strolling

Along the graveled path?

I fear and also want them

Unsure if it’s lust or wrath

The helpless broken hearted

Wretched thing I am

Could I ever hope to have him

Like a wolf that has the lamb?

Or do I want to hold him

Like a small and needy child?

That is the constant question

Can satisfaction tame the wild?
