Mom, can I go outside?

I promise I'll act right

Thanks Mom, see ya later

Hey Johnny, let's go play

Okay, no problem my guy

Johnny was my best bud

We hung out every day

We sat on the porch

Thinking of what to do

As usual, it's nice out

My thoughts were kinda delayed

I kept hearing a buzz

Like a bumble or humming

I took a look left

There at the bird feeder

Flapping its wings extremely fast

A little hummingbird feasting away

Then all of a sudden

A young me was humbled

Let's just stay in today
