We lay flowers on his grave

Before trampling the grass upon it

A sign of respect

Coupled with unholy acts

Not a soul to bother us

Those souls who

call us monsters

Sinners and demons

But the demons don’t burn

And werewolves don’t howl

While the vampires keep their own

And the dead tell no tales

Back to warm bodies

Disgusted

By the differences

Or similarities

Between you

And me

So the monsters company

We keep

Away from those creatures

never feeling more alive

As we danced

Amongst the dead
