How can I be so happy?
I'm in love with who you are;
I am blessed beyond words
Spring returns to my heavy heart.
I smile at the thought of you;
How your warmth is like the sun;
Your touch reaches my souls desire;
After all I have shown you, you still haven't run.
I sit here wishing I were home;
Work beckons and I have other plans;
"Strawberries and sunshine"
And I love you with all I am.
One foot in front of the other;
Occasional steps back;
This morning I revel in the glory
And dream of us on different sands.
Together hand in hand;
The thought of you makes me smile;
peaceful, easy feeling becomes me
and your love makes all worthwhile.
