In the darkest depths of the night, where shadows creep,

A tale of horror, I shall now weave, for you to keep.

Beware, dear reader, as I delve into the macabre,

A long poem of terror, that will make your heart throb.

Once upon a time, in a forgotten haunted town,

Lived a cursed soul, with a face twisted and brown.

His name was Edgar, a man of wicked ways,

His deeds so vile, they would haunt your days.

With bloodshot eyes and a sinister grin,

He roamed the streets, committing sins.

In the dead of night, his footsteps would tread,

Leaving a trail of terror, filling hearts with dread.

The townsfolk trembled, fearing his wrath,

As he stalked his prey along the darkened path.

No one was safe from his malevolent gaze,

As he reveled in the fear, his victims would haze.

Whispers of his presence echoed through the air,

Moans and cries, a symphony of despair.

The streets were empty, devoid of life,

For Edgar's reign of terror cut like a knife.

Haunted houses stood, with secrets untold,

Each creak and groan, a story to unfold.

Ghosts lurked in corners, their presence felt,

Their mournful wails, an eerie melody to be dealt.

In the old graveyard, among the tombstones gray,

Edgar danced with the spirits, in a wicked display.

The moonlight cast an eerie glow upon the scene,

As the dead arose, their eyes filled with a fiendish sheen.

The night grew colder, as Edgar's power grew,

He summoned demons, from the depths they drew.

They danced in the firelight, their forms grotesque,

Feasting on souls, leaving the town a wreck.

But in the darkest hour, a hero emerged,

A brave soul, his heart filled with courage and surge.

He challenged Edgar, with a sword held high,

Determined to vanquish the evil, to the sky.

A battle ensued, between light and dark,

As the hero fought valiantly, leaving his mark.

With every strike, Edgar's power waned,

Until finally, the monster was restrained.

The town rejoiced, as evil was defeated,

The curse lifted, the terror retreated.

But in the shadows, a whisper still remained,

A reminder of the horror, that once had reigned.

So beware, dear reader, of the darkness that lurks,

For evil can hide, in the deepest, darkest works.

This long poem of horror, a cautionary tale,

To remind us all, that even nightmares can prevail.
