Hope

In Darkness

By Karen LaRuePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

I’m gonna go with hope

Cause that hopey changey thing

Got us somewhere

And times of darkness

When evil prowls so freely

Are always overcome by the light

So I’m gonna shine mine

Brighter than I ever have before

And you’ll shine yours

And we will find each other

And rescue those in pain

Mend wounds

Take up our swords of flame

And reclaim our garden

Where innocence is allowed to bloom freely

And delight abounds

Protected by love

Fueled by compassion

Rooted to the very core of the Earth
