Hope: A Poem
Hope is the comfort that hugs you back
Hope is satin
Softest cotton
The thing you slip into
When the silver lining is caught
Between darkest night and pure bravado
Hope is the first sip of coffee after a sleepless night
The little hand that slips into yours
Your favorite song playing when you turn on the radio
It’s the comfort of a new tomorrow
When today feels too heavy to bear
It’s the promise that unfurls like dreams
Bright
Soft
Ethereal
A song for your soul that sounds like a heads-up penny
Tastes like first love
Feels like strong arms wrapping you in a hug
Hope is the comfort that carries you through
