There’s a sign
Everywhere
There are fucking signs
Claiming the better candidate
Berating other hopefuls
All begging for your vote
Turn on the boob tube
Six ads back to back
He’s your man;
NO! She can
Vote this way
Vote that way
And everyone is lying
Info flyers, in your mailbox
Info flyers everywhere
She wants to spend your money
He wants to give it back
So many empty promises
All ridiculous rhetoric
Not worth a pile of crap
Thank God
It’s the fourth of November
So this disgusting charade can stop
And move on to the forgetfulness
Of promises made by winners
As to all the hateful signs and ads,
It’s time for them to go!
