What I call home

A place where it all starts

A place that resonates through compassion of hearts

A place to stay committed to upkeep and journey

A place we grow through maturity

A place that's sometimes missed when away

A place that brings forth comfort night or day

A place you don't want to live without

A place to prep cook and put food in your mouth

A place where memories create and unravel

A place some might face to travel

A place where action can persist

A place that you and me exist

A place to have privacy or share measures of gatherings

A place to fulfill grace of jabberings

A place to just be yourself through different measures of passion

A place some see in dreams and thoughts to imagine

A place you can be fat or lean short or tall or in-between

A place some may see greatness or the obscene

A place to progress through change and recollection

A place to have animals and guard your protection

A place to celebrate a holiday or celebration

A place that one might take for a vacation

A place that all started with its foundation

A place I give my dedication

To the history it created into focus of purpose and desire

To a journey we had to build to admire

To one who keeps ahold of in their hearts and mind

For some to adventure to find

A deeper meaning forward to move to somewhere you want to belong

It gives focus and meaning in shape of a melody of a song

To carry on and work displacing where ever you may roam

That's the meaning of what I call Home!
