Home & What It Means To Me

An ode to my parents.

By Kim MitchellPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Home; By definition a place of dwelling where one goes to seek shelter. For some, it may be a temporary one, for others permanent. From tents to mansions we all have a shelter, a place we call home.

Home; For many, we could consider this is where it ends, just a place of shelter to escape the elements even if it is just an Inn.

Home; So one might ask; what does home mean to me. Home is the life I share with my wife and the interactions we share with our seven children and their families. From the advantage of being retired, we can travel and visit and spend a little time here and there. At the age we are, they are older now and our visits are quite enjoyable and no more childhood drama at the door. From cookouts to restaurants, travel plans, and more. Home is our Family and for us even more.

Home; Our dwelling we consider, our apartment, our camper our Cougar, our place of refuge of peace and quiet. Where together we share our thoughts our feelings and plan our activities, our adventures and choose our next move.

Home; We are blessed for in our travels we are enjoying the places we enjoy best. Our scenery from our window is showing us the sea. Next, come the mountains, we are both anxious to see.

Home; From coast to coast our home is with our family and the places we choose to be.
