The Soul of a House

A house has a soul,

Shared by many,

Without people and family,

The house would not have any,

The sight of it warms you,

It is a comforting place,

Walking through the door,,

Puts a smile on your face,

It has a smell,

Oh so sweet,

A history of meals,

And the clean and neat,

All the noises,

The creaking door,

Known triggers,

Loose boards in the floor,

The feel of the air,

Contacts your skin,

You know it well,

Comfort begins,

Memories reside,

In those four walls,

Triggers your mind,

Reminiscences fall,

Like a warm hug,

Your never alone,

A house has a soul,

It is called home.
