Holy Remembrance

Reflections on Holly Thursday

On Holly Thursday, we remember

The Last Supper, the bread, the wine

The act of love, that we treasure

As we gather, in this holy shrine

The air is filled with solemn grace

As we kneel, to wash each other's feet

Humbled by this intimate embrace

We feel the warmth, of love so sweet

The cross is looming, in the distance

The shadows lengthen, as the day wears on

But we hold on, to our faith's persistence

In the hope, that our sins will be gone

On Holly Thursday, we contemplate

The sacrifice, that Christ had made

For us, who were lost, but now elate

With love, that cannot be swayed

Let us take a moment, to remember

The significance, of this sacred day

And in our hearts, let us endeavor

To follow Christ, in every way.

To all readers who read this poem, May this sacred day bring you hope and peace, And may the spirit of Christ's love and sacrifice Guide you always, and never cease.
