Hollow

No Home

You have gone cold

Your falsehoods have swallowed you and your eyes are dim and grey

Those sad eyes, that you wear so well, will never break gaze from the floor

You are empty

There is nothing to you

Though you like the attention, you will never understand true appreciation

And though you are frozen you will never feel the cold

You will never feel anything

Character, you have none

And even less of anything genuine

Everything has been stripped away

You are merely a hollow body, drifting through the world on broken bones

You don’t have a home, or even a place to lay that heavy head of yours

You belong nowhere and you will never find rest

A sour, twisted smile that I had almost forgotten, but there you stand, not even looking at me, but always watching.
