Holiday Gladness
A poem for the holidays
I love to hear the chime in my ear that tells me we have reached the most wonderful time of the year.
The air gets cooler and the night comes quick. Snowfall arrives and makes the children have fun quick.
Turn your frown into a smile. There’s always a reason to change when we approach the seasonal change.
Once the fall rolls in we finally made it to winter and now the holiday season can enter.
Hoodies and jackets, beanies and gloves. Hot chocolate, Fall festivals and meetings of love.
Families come and sit together for the big holiday get togethers it all fits together.
We all exchange gifts but the greatest gift we have is that we see each other. Thankfully reminded of how much we need each other.
How could one not love the end of the year when it’s a sign that a great new beginning is near.
Presents and gifts, oh what a heavenly gift. The rush of joy that it brings will forever be swift.
In a world full of madness joined by sadness. I’ll forever appreciate this holiday gladness.
