Hold My Hand Dear Lord

Hold my hand Lord I want to be your daughter

a child you can trust when the storms roll near

I do not ask for riches or crowns

only your voice to calm my fear

I stumble often on broken ground

my steps are clumsy my sight unclear

yet I know your eyes are on me

and your mercy holds me here

I am small in the shadow of this world

fragile as morning mist on stone

still I lift my heart toward you

for I know I am never alone

Teach me the way that pleases you

guide my thoughts to gentleness and light

let me rest like a child at peace

safe in your arms each night

When doubts creep in and silence weighs

remind me that you are always near

your strength is greater than my fall

your whisper stronger than my fear

I long to grow in your truth

to be steady faithful and pure

let me shine as your daughter Lord

in love that will endure

Hold my hand and never let go

I give my days my breath my song

for I am yours forever Lord

to you my soul belongs
