Her Sealed Lips

A Poem

Do you ever feel something so bad you convince yourself of the opposite?

You act like it’s the worst thing in the world,

You try to avoid your own eyes when you pass a mirror

Because you know you’ll stare yourself into the truth.

In denial is self destructing

A time ticking bomb

Strapped to your body.

One day you’ll explode

And what will follow will be

Gruesome.

It’s sad that in a world so bright,

It’s easier to just live a dark lie.

Drop it you say.

I’ll be fine you persuade.

I don’t tell anyone for my sanity.

No one will understand you say.

But one day

You will wish you opened your sealed lips

When you’re alone

With blood pouring from

Your lips.
