Requiem of a nightmare

From the blackened womb of oblivion he rose,

A wraith forged in torment where all hope corrodes.

Hell Billy—an abyss given flesh, a nightmare unfurled,

Dragging shattered souls into a realm unwhirled.

—

His eyes burn like infernos, twin pits of endless despair,

Glaring into your spirit, stripping every hope bare.

Each glance a promise of agony, every step a dirge,

As the earth beneath him trembles and the cold shadows surge.

—

Under a blood-red sky where dying stars have fled,

He stalks the ruins of sanity, where angels fear to tread.

His voice—a chorus of agony, a lament of cursed doom—

Turns every whispered prayer into a requiem of gloom.

—

The very air chokes with decay, a miasma of regret,

Every lost, screaming memory an eternal vignette.

He feasts on the remnants of dreams once pure and bright,

Transforming vibrant lives into a macabre, endless night.

—

In the cemetery of broken hope, his shadow roams unseen,

Carving scars into the mind where light has never been.

Every heartbeat echoes his relentless, demonic pace,

As souls are swallowed whole, erased without a trace.

—

No salvation lingers in his wake, only despair’s cold hand,

Binding hearts with terror, as sanity is unmanned.

The silent screams of those who fall to his cursed art

Resound like the dirge of doom, splintering the human heart.

—

Through twisted corridors of anguish and forgotten pain,

Hell Billy's laughter cuts the night like a serrated, vengeful chain.

The ground bleeds with his passage, each step a funeral toll,

Marking the descent of the living into a black, eternal hole.

—

So if you wander where the veil is thin and darkness breathes,

And if you hear the rustle of regret among the grieving leaves,

Remember the cursed name that stokes your deepest fear—

Hell Billy, whose presence turns every hope to seared tears.

—

In the endless silence of the void where even nightmares weep,

He reigns, a sovereign of sorrow, in a realm too dark and deep.

An everlasting epitaph, a terror that none can flee—

A soul ensnared by the abyss, for all eternity.

Author's Note

In "Hell Billy" I have plunged into the darkest recesses of human dread, seeking to evoke that raw, unyielding terror that lurks beneath our everyday facades. This poem was born from a confrontation with the shadows—both within and without—a reflection on the nightmares that haunt our sleepless nights. Inspired by the legends of horror and driven by an insatiable desire to explore despair in its purest form, I invite you to wander with me through this desolate landscape. May each verse awaken the ghost of your own hidden fears, and may you find a strange solace in the echoes of a sorrow too profound to be forgotten.
