Her heart was heavy like a stone,
weighed down by a love unknown.
He came into her life one day
and stole her heart without delay.
She loved him with all her might,
but he was gone by morning light.
She searched for him, high and low,
but he was gone, with nothing to show.
She cried herself to sleep each night,
her heart shattered, her world was not right.
She wondered why he had to go,
and why her heart had to feel so low.
But in the end, she found some peace,
and her heart slowly begins to release.
She realized that sometimes love is pain,
and that heartbreak can be a gain.
She moved on, but never forgot,
the love she had, the love she sought.
And though it ended in a sad way,
she was grateful for the love that day.
