What shall I say, to keep heaven at bay

When ones words seem so contrite to thine heart

And I feel as if to shudder into decay

We find reprisal, to act upon what God starts.

What shall I say, to keep heaven at bay

This very soul seeks an eternal seat

In death, one must not find impatient delay

Love in which binds all, crave to most keep.

What shall I say, to keep heaven at bay

Close foolish eyes, and become attuned

All of our design is squalling away

Lo, into cosmic dust, for this we are groomed!
