As the sun set on the small town of Willowdale, Mia sat at her desk staring out the window at the orange and pink sky. She was trying to write a haiku for the school's poetry club, but the words just weren't coming to her.

Suddenly, her pen began to move across the page on its own. Surprised, Mia watched as the words "My heartstrings pull tight like the strings of a guitar" appeared on the page.

"That's it!" Mia exclaimed. She quickly jotted down the rest of the poem:

Heartstrings tight as guitar strings

Love's sweet melody it brings

But when it breaks, oh the pain

Leaves my heart singing in vain

Mia read the poem over and smiled. It was rough, but it was a start. She knew that with a little more work, it could be something special.

As she continued to write, she couldn't help but think about her own heartstrings and the boy who had been pulling on them lately. She had been crushing on him for months, but she was too afraid to tell him how she felt.

"What if he doesn't feel the same way?" she thought. "What if this poem is the only way I can express my feelings?"

Determined to gather her courage, Mia put the finishing touches on her poem and headed to the poetry club meeting. When it was her turn to share, she took a deep breath and began to read:

Heartstrings tight as guitar strings

Love's sweet melody it brings

But when it breaks, oh the pain

Leaves my heart singing in vain

As she finished the poem, she looked up and locked eyes with the boy she had been crushing on. She could see the understanding and emotion in his gaze, and she knew that he felt the same way.

"That was beautiful," he said, a smile spreading across his face. "I've felt that way too."

Mia's heartstrings pulled tight with happiness as she realized that her poem had helped her find the courage to express her feelings and connect with someone special. She knew that from now on, she would always turn to poetry to help her heartstrings sing.
