Heart

Poetry

Heart If I looked into your heart, what would I see?

That look of love?

Maybe hatred.

Why do we hate?

Why despise those that are unlike ourselves?

Only should we hate if one has done wrong.

Yet we hate those for their color, gender, sexuality, and hobbies.

Why hate someone for something they can't control?

Why hate someone for being joyful?

Why hate someone for finding love?

Why hate someone for their cre-ative activity?

Now take a look inside your own heart, what do you see?

That look of hatred?

Maybe love.
