Heart Over Matter

I’m curious about

heart over matter?

what would thinking look like

then?

it’s a wonder if there will be room

for any thinking at all

a wonder how to live life

just feeling every moment

as it comes.

sensations take the stage.

opening the heart when it feels safe,

protecting it when necessary.

There is no taming a wild heart

it wants what it wants,

and no matter how you paint it to be seen on the outside,

inside, it will feel what it wants to feel

even if it scares you

even if it makes you ecstatic

even if it makes you angry

even if it’s too much

in any way

or not enough, OH,

you NEED more

you say?

let it drip

let it overflow

let it drown you

let it teach you

let it save you.
